I lost my sword right in the first room, Strong Magnetic Field, and immediately thought about restarting. Good thing I kept going, because right after that I got lucky and picked up a Fireball, which let me one-shot my first enemy, the Minotaur. I really did need that luck, since I got his Axe afterwards. I've now visited 19 rooms, a whole lot of Bath Houses, and hit my first level-up.
What I'd like to know: do you just keep playing until you die, or is there an actual goal? Because the enemies don't really seem to be getting any stronger, do they?

This reminds me how powerful a well-held concept can be.
The manual’s FAQ-like layout and the red + black palette give it such a controlled atmosphere — moody in a way that feels intentional, not only decorative. ●
Itch.io tells me I bought this 199 days ago. Finally got around to trying it out today. I've leveled up twice and gotten through two dozen or so chambers. Having a blast. Amazing what you did with two pages of rules. Had to make a couple of assumptions, but one expects that with rules lite games.

Sorry, I have a question about healing! The only way heal is with potions? (also Weird n.6 and Social n.1)
Or do I heal every time I level up?
Hi Dragon249, good question! I see that the wording of the level up text is kinda vague. When I wrote it, my intention was that you’d heal whenever you level up.
But, you could say that gaining HP when your maximum increases (when you advance to a higher level) is normal mode and gaining HP only from potions, social 1, and weird 6 is hard mode.
Hey, I grabbed a community copy and gave this a quick run through. I died in room 9 (although I had three swords at this point...). Those slurpers are vicious.
This was a lot of fun, thank you. I'm going to play through a few more times, because I never rolled a social or challenge, but how do I find more games like this? I've played corny grón and dark fort.
