This is amazing, played it with some friends and after ironing out the rules we enjoyed it thoroughly. I'm currently writing a campaign and it's inspiring fiction.

Two things:

I don't see a spell for the Ace. Is this by design?

This is begging for the rules to be printed on playing cards (I would buy that in an instant) or formatted to be folded to such a size.

thanks for the kind words! you know, I think it was an oversight. I forgot the Ace spell!

And what a great idea, I may get around to formatting for card printing.

How does magic work? Does a player pick spells beforehand, or do they draw randomly to see what spells they get? Who can cast magic?

Check the Mage entry. Mages can cast a # of spells = to their diamonds stat, and they draw those spells randomly at the start of each in-game day

Any chance of a printer friendly version of that 1st page? That's a lot of black toner or ink...

that’s a great idea, I’ll post it here soon

just posted the printer friendly version!

Does every player (and the GM) get their own deck of cards, or is there just one single deck for everyone to draw from (and if there's just one deck, what is the maximum number of players you recommend?)

It's not explicit in the text, but does "Every 10 above the first is another hit" mean that players play as many cards of the relevant suit as they want (or can), and are not limited to playing just one card?

My intention was just one deck. Test should be rare, only a few per game session. I’d say 3-5 players is a good size.

When you attack on your turn, you draw up to your attribute, and that’s it. You can’t play as many as you want , but other players can combo off your card and play matching suits/ranks from their hand, like in crazy eights.

Good questions! There is no correct way to play, but I will be tweaking this as I go to make it clearer. Thank you!
